She has always thought about
The world behind the mirror
But presently, the answer
Has not been rising clearer

From the dreamscape of her childhood
To the trouble she has known
Wondering if her reflection has
A life all it's own

This mirror now reflects her
But she does not realize
It's her image in the mirror
That she doesn't recognize

To her knees she's fallen
Asking through her cries
Why the mirror can't reflect
The girl she is inside

"Do you even see me?
You act like I'm not there,
A liquid dripping through the cracks,
A demon in the air..."

Behind the glass, she's crying, too,
Her hands rest on the floor
But, unlike her twin, she's tangible
Invisible no more.

Author's Comments

This is a three-parter... I wrote them in second period, rewrote them in third, and arranged them in fourth. I've realized that most things have three stages... and this is the Image.
